Who we are
Roots Radicals was born out of a deep passion for real food, sustainability, and the belief that traditional preservation techniques can be the key to a more conscious way of eating.
Our peruvian founder, Monica Kisic, phD in Molecular Biology and Master in Cooking, after years of experience in farm to table and zero waste, decided that the best way towards reconnection was food preservation. Did you know that today 1/3 of all food goes to waste? The responsibility to be working with food must be also to change the way our food system currently works. What started as a small personal project quickly evolved into a community movement dedicated to reducing waste and creating delicious, sustainable preserves.
Today, Roots Radicals creates delicious food preserves made out of our favorite imperfect fruits and vegetables, tackles food waste also in our production by cooking circularly and upcycling by-products and thirdly, by connecting with our community and inspiring change at home. We blend traditional methods with contemporary values, and providing a range of products and services that help others live more sustainably.

Using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, we make everything from jams and pickles to chutneys and sauces, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
Catering
Roots Radicals offers catering that’s both delicious and sustainable. Our menus are curated with seasonal ingredients, and we work to ensure that every event we cater is as low-waste as possible.
Canteen Lunch Deliveries
We create delicious, nutritious and vegetarian meals using ingredients that might otherwise be discarded. Our ever-changing menu is seasonal, and every dish is crafted to minimize waste.
Workshops
We love sharing our knowledge! Our workshops are designed to teach people the art of food preservation and how to live more sustainably.
