Our Mango Habanero Hot Sauce is made with ripe and fragrant mangos harvested from Spain and is made up of 46% rescued ingredients. The flesh of the fruit is used fresh for sweetness, and fermented to add complexity and acidity. The mango skins have been salt cured over a period of weeks to add more depth. Fermented yellow habanero brings the heat in this sauce and the result is one of the spiciest sauces in our range. This sauce complements rich and fatty foods exceptionally well: just a few drops are enough to spark brightness in stews, soups, and marinades. Try mixing it with mayo to accompany fries, you won’t be disappointed.
Roots Radicals is a zero waste, circular economy food company. We used the mango peels and candied them and the pits where fed to our ginger bug. Mangos were sustainably sourced from Gebana.
